ASSESSMENT PLAN JUSTIFICATION My assessment plan includes three types of assessment: diagnostic (to identify needs and determine prior knowledge of my students before the learning process asuch starts), formative ( during the learning process to be informed of how they are progressing) and summative assessment( to check at the end of the unit what knowledge has  the student really acquired). Formative assessments allow me to modify my teaching on the spot if my students aren’t understanding the content. Some examples of formative assessments I use are: Daily warm-ups , small group discussion and pair work. The different activities have been assessed by different agents in different moments of the learning process: the teacher, other teachers of the level, other students and the student him/herself. LESSON SEVEN SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT A.   The students do a final written test individually. UNIT 3 TEST Write three caracteristics of each group of vertebrates and two animals that belong to each group. Then write two characteristics of each group of invertebrates and two examples of animals that belong to each group. B.   The teacher fills in a final rubric about the student´s learning of content, his/her use of language, his/her behaviour, the student´s attitude towards learning and his/her teamwork.

LESSON SIX FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT A.   In the computer Room, students fill in this online quiz about animals in pairs: http://www.softschools.com/quizzes/science/animal_kingdom/quiz963.html B.   Then, each pair explains orally to the rest of the class what difficulties they found when doing this activity. The teacher or other students will solve any doubts about the online quiz.
